FORENSIC MEDICON 2027 is the 48th Annual Conference of the Indian Academy of Forensic Medicine, held from 2 to 6 February 2027 at Swami Rama Himalayan University, Jolly Grant, Dehradun, on the theme Translational Forensics. Conference links are collected here.

The 48th Annual Conference of the Indian Academy of Forensic Medicine runs from 2 to 6 February 2027 at Swami Rama Himalayan University, Jolly Grant, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on the theme Translational Forensics. This page is the Organising Committee's accommodation and travel desk. Registration, abstract submission and the scientific programme are handled on the official conference site.
Jolly Grant Airport (DED) is immediately beside the venue, and a shuttle runs hourly on arrival days. Note that Jolly Grant is a daytime-only airport and February mornings in the Doon valley are frequently foggy, so an afternoon flight is the safer booking — early departures are the ones that get diverted or cancelled.
Haridwar Junction is the recommended railhead. Conference buses run from here, and Shatabdi and Vande Bharat services stop at Haridwar on the way to Dehradun. If your ticket continues to Dehradun, get down at Haridwar anyway — Dehradun station is about 25 km from the venue and has no conference transport.
Doiwala is the nearest station, roughly 10 km away, and buses run from there, but only a few trains stop at Doiwala — check availability before you book. There is no conference transport from Rishikesh; if you are routed that way, travel via Haridwar or arrange your own taxi.
The Committee is negotiating conference rates with properties near the venue across six categories: resort and premium hotels, standard hotels, budget hotels, homestays, hostel and dormitory accommodation, and delegates making their own arrangements. Rooms can be booked single, twin with a named colleague, or twin with a room-mate matched by the Committee.
